Thank you for writing this article. A massive amount of education is needed to counterbalance both the fossil fuel and chemical industries' PR campaigns. As a grandmother to young grandchildren, I think about plastic pollution constantly, but feel unable to talk to my children about much of what I know. It needs to become mainstream information for everyone so our youngest members of our society are not constantly put at risk.

Of course the oil & chemical industry wants to continue doing what it does, but plastics are literally killing us. The people who live near cracker plants feel this every day. The rest of us are polluted by microplastics. No one can avoid this as long as more plastics, especially single use plastics are made.
