What a well written, researched and persuasive article this is, Emily. Thank you. That we should still need to have this conversation from Columbine to Sandy Hook and all the gun murders since then is truly depressing and can happen anywhere, anytime. I lived less than three miles from the Tops supermarket shooting in Buffalo just a few years ago. Living in the heart of the city for a year, there were at least six other non-mass shootings within blocks of me. Guns are not protection, they are needless death. This has been shown time and time again in research.
