Listen: The Fossil Fuel Industry’s Big Lie
I went on the News Beat podcast to talk about the congressional investigation into Big Oil’s climate deception.

We’ve got something a little different for you this week: ExxonKnews goes to podcast-land! I spoke with the producers of News Beat, a great podcast focused on social justice and civil liberties issues, about the ongoing congressional investigation into the fossil fuel industry’s climate disinformation campaigns. I get into Big Oil’s phony “net zero” commitments, the internal company documents released by the House Oversight Committee earlier this month, what we’ve seen at the committee’s hearings so far, and more. If you’re new to ExxonKnews or want to learn more about the committee’s investigation up until this point, this is a good place to start.
The episode is the second of a two-part series, the first of which featured interviews with Ben Franta, head of the Climate Litigation Lab at Oxford University, whose research has been featured in ExxonKnews, and Duncan Meisel, Director of Clean Creatives. Listen here or wherever you get your podcasts.
In the meantime, I’m working on something a bit more substantial for you — so keep an eye out for what comes next!
