As you may have noticed, we’re on a Thanksgiving-break hiatus — but we wanted to express our gratitude to you, subscribers and readers of ExxonKnews.
With your support, we’ve been able to cover climate accountability for three full years (happy anniversary to us!). This year, we’ve brought you updates on historic congressional hearings and investigations into Big Oil’s climate disinformation campaigns; coverage of new and existing lawsuits from communities seeking to make polluters pay; original reporting on Exxon’s rainbow-washing and the fossil fuel industry’s attempts to sue its critics into silence; analysis of how oil money infiltrates local news, academia, and even the U.S. Supreme Court; interviews with advocates and whistleblowers; and much more.
We need meaningful action to address the climate crisis — and that will never happen while its biggest culprits still have a seat at the negotiating table. That’s where you come in. We’ll continue providing coverage of the fossil fuel industry’s deception and influence, and mounting efforts to hold them accountable — but we’ll need your help.
With the spectacular demise of a certain social media platform, it could become a lot harder for us to get our work out there. So this Thanksgiving, we’re asking you to share ExxonKnews with three people, whether friends, co-workers, or even your uncle with questionable political views (hi Uncle Dan).
Thanks again for your support, and catch us back in your inbox again soon.
